If a drone inspection will be conducted on my site, what are the next steps?
- The name of your farm in the Raptor App will be updated to have the prefix “Drone - “ to indicate that a drone inspection will be conducted.
- A Wiring Inspection order will be generated for your farm within the Raptor App. The OEM or you will submit an as-built and site access information via the Raptor App following these instructions. They may need to reach out to you and/or on-site operators to gather this information.
- Raptor Maps will schedule drone flights in coordination with your OEM and the on-site operators. The flight plan will be tailored to your specific site’s wiring schematic. On-site operators may be asked to share a video walking down a sample row to ensure the best flight plan is chosen.
- Prior to the inspection, the pilots will complete any required safety documentation and site trainings
- During the inspection, blocks may need to be stowed facing East or West to ensure clear visibility to connectors. At any given time, 1-3 blocks will be stowed at a time for approximately 2-3 hours. The pilot crew will stay in close communication with on-site operators to communicate stowing needs and progress.
- Raptor Maps performs thorough data coverage and quality checks. If additional data is required, Raptor Maps will coordinate.
